The Needs of Pagans in Hospital

The needs of Pagans are in essence no different from any other persons. We want to be treated as individuals, our needs to be taken seriously, and to retain some control over what happens to us.

Some basic principals of Paganism are that:

  • The body is a wonderful gift to be respected and enjoyed.
  • We are part of the natural world and subject to the cycles of life, death and rebirth, just like every other living thing.
  • We are responsible for our behaviours, we don’t have a god or a devil that makes us do things or who will do terrible things to us.
  • We’re not above asking for help and respecting those people who offer it in good faith.
